Canterbury Giant Redwood for NZ Tree of the Year 2025 Title
Two Canterbury trees have been named finalists in the NZ Tree of the Year competition: Rangiora Borough School’s giant redwood, planted around 1860.
The competition, organised by the NZ Notable Trees Trust and inspired by the European Tree of the Year, celebrates trees of cultural and historical significance.
