Historic €63,000 Coastal Redwood Tree Illegally Felled in Athy’s People’s Park, Ireland

A significant environmental and historical loss occurred in Athy’s People’s Park when a 150-year-old coastal redwood tree, valued at €63,000, was illegally cut down during the early hours of January 27, 2025.
