Sequoiadendron giganteum ‘Argenteovariegatum’

Giant Redwood

Beissner documented a plant in 1891 (referring to it as Sequoia gigantea f. argentea), which had been previously recorded by Nelson in 1866 under the name ‘Argentea’. The plant was described as developing a broad, upright form, reaching 2.5 meters in height and 2 meters in width within ten years, and featuring leaves with a glossy silver-white appearance. It is likely that this cultivar is no longer in cultivation.
