Sequoiadendron giganteum ‘Golden Weeping’

Giant Redwood

‘Golden Weeping’ was listed by the Iseli Nursery in Oregon, USA, in 1982 without providing additional details (Auders & Spicer 2012). However, the name suggests that this cultivar likely combines two distinct characteristics: golden foliage and a weeping or pendulous growth habit. The golden foliage may be present throughout the growing season or limited to new growth, while the weeping habit would result in cascading branches and a more dramatic, downward-sweeping form compared to the typical upright growth of the species.
