Sequoiadendron giganteum ‘Columnare’

‘Pyramidale’ is a Sequoiadendron cultivar first recorded by Pierre Lavallée in 1877, known for its narrowly columnar growth habit. It is sometimes considered synonymous with ‘Strictum’ by some authors (Auders & Spicer 2012). This cultivar is also known by the alternative name Sequoiadendron giganteum ‘Columnare’, which reflects its distinctive upright form. ‘Pyramidale’ is well-suited for gardens and landscapes where vertical accents or space-saving trees are desired.
