Wimbledon Home Bargains stopped from cutting down a Dawn Redwood

A new Home Bargains store in Wimbledon has been told it cannot cut down three mature trees including a Dawn Redwood on the site of its new home.

Thankfully after unsuccessfully arguing that Tree Preservation Order wasn’t necessary the council kept the TPO.

Organisations lobby local government all the time to argue that TPOs need not be applied, leaving trees vulnerable to being cut down any time.
